I worked my first wedding in 2013 as a makeup artist and since then have had the adventure and joy of working hundreds of weddings as a wedding photographer, videographer, makeup artist, and updo artist.
I've photographed maternity and newborn sessions since 2016 and became a mom myself in 2024. I LOVE love and talking weddings and motherhood with anyone who lets me- that's where my blog comes in.

Battlefield House Museum & Park in Stoney Creek is one of my favourite historic locations for wedding photography in Hamilton. The property combines the dramatic Battlefield Monument, mature trees, historic architecture and open parkland, giving couples plenty of variety without travelling between multiple locations.
As a Hamilton wedding photographer, I especially love Battlefield for couples who want their photos to feel romantic while still having a little history and architecture in their gallery.
Quick Facts: 77 King St W, Stoney Creek, ON | Historic parkland and architecture | Battlefield Monument | Mature trees and gardens | City of Hamilton photography permit requirements apply

Battlefield offers several completely different looks in one location.
The monument creates dramatic, architectural portraits, while the historic buildings, pathways and surrounding greenery give us softer options for wedding photos.
Additionally, mature trees also make this a beautiful spot for candid images and walking portraits, which works perfectly with my approach to Hamilton wedding photography.

The stone monument is the most recognizable part of the park. Its scale photographs beautifully, and the steps are especially useful for larger wedding parties.
The stone, brick, doors and windows create a warmer, more intimate backdrop and add a little old-world character to the gallery.
The mature trees and open grounds are perfect for relaxed portraits, movement and softer natural images. Also, Battlefield is especially beautiful when everything is lush in summer or changing colour!
The evergreen tree aisle is a beautiful spot to use depth of field to our advantage!
If you’re planning wedding or engagement photos at Battlefield House Museum & Park, make sure you check the current City of Hamilton photography permit requirements before your session. The City lists Battlefield as one of its Hamilton Civic Museum properties, and outdoor photography permits are available for museum grounds. You’ll find that the current fees and policies can change, so I recommend booking directly through the City.
