I photographed my first maternity session over fifteen years ago, and I’m still amazed by the beauty of pregnancy. This season—welcoming a new family member—is one of life’s most magical moments, as meaningful as finding your partner or getting married.
Every session is tailored to you. I’ve built a client closet with over 120 maternity gowns, but if you prefer jeans and a tank, that’s perfect too. Maternity sessions are best booked between 26–35 weeks, with outdoor shoots held in the evenings from spring to fall (5:30–8 pm, Monday to Friday). I look forward to capturing this special time with you!

Danielle was amazing! She captured my maternity photos so beautifully and I love them all! She brought my vision to life and was open and flexible to all ideas, while also offering her own expertise, creativity and advice. This specially priced collection is specially priced according to Monday-Wednesday dates within Hamilton only! All Thursday-Friday dates are reserved for all other collections. Saturday's and Sunday's are not available for booking from April-October .
Can I use the Hamilton Lifestyle Special on a weekend?
If you are booking a newborn session on its own or if it is part of a collection, it is best to put your baby's due date in my calendar as early as possible. Ideally 2-7 months in advance! I do not put more than two newborns due dates in the same week within my calendar to ensure I will have flexibility if for whatever reason the baby's I have booked in any given month decide to be born in the same week, I still will be able to accommodate everyone's session, but for that reason I can't take more than two due-dates in any given week.
When should we book our newborn session?
Once you've confirmed you'd like to work together- YAY! We will select an approximate date for your session(s) though they can be adjusted closer to if need be! There is a digital contract I will send to you for us to both sign and it will also link to an invoice and payment schedule for the booking. There is a $195.00 non-refundable retainer due at the time of booking.
What is the process for booking?
Absolutely! These sessions are considerably flexible for what each parent(s) want out of these sessions. They can be great even when baby is just 8 months old and crawling and giggling over a plate of watermelon. The Unicorn collection can be used as a lifestyle family session. If you decide to use one of these sessions for a cake smash, you can either bring the cake to my studio, or I can source one for you. I will create a simple minimalistic set in the studio and we can have a wonderful party/photo session for your little one!
Can we use the 6-12 month session as a cake-smash/birthday session?
I recommend bringing a strapless bra (in nude ideally), nude, white and black underwear, and any clothing pieces you might want to potentially wear. We will budget time at the studio for you to try on pieces and accessorize for your session. I love collaborating on ideas and making sure there is a beautiful variety of looks for your final gallery of images.
What should I bring to my maternity session?
I will do my very best to prepare you for your newborn session! If you are coming to my studio I recommend packing lots of diapers for baby, several onesies (neutral, wordless onesies are best!), and a couple swaddling blankets. For parent(s) I suggest wearing layers! I keep the studio quite warm for newborn sessions so us adults will likely be on the warm side. I have dresses in the studio for my mamma's to use if they wish! Otherwise, leggings or denim, and a white or dark, solid coloured t-shirt is great for both or either parents for a casual family photo look.
What should I bring to our newborn's session?
I recommend booking your maternity session 3-12 weeks in advance just to be sure you get a date in my calendar around the 28-36 week mark of your pregnancy. Maternity sessions can be booked during the week Monday-Friday, and generally start approximately 1-4 hours before the sun sets (ie. 6:30 pm* start in the summer, 2:30pm* start in the winter.).
